What's New

Shipments of 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine are beginning to arrive in Colorado. Initial doses are being used to vaccinate healthcare workers with direct patient contact. This site will be updated as this vaccine becomes available to other population segments.

Influenza is a respiratory illness.
Symptoms of flu include fever, headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches.
Although the term "stomach flu" is sometimes used to describe vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea, these illnesses are caused by certain other viruses, bacteria, or possibly parasites, and are rarely related to influenza.
The Colorado Adult Immunization Coalition (CAIC) is a statewide coalition whose mission is to decrease vaccine-preventable respiratory disease in Colorado through collaborative efforts in education and immunization.
NO! Flu-like reactions, which occurred with vaccines given years ago, is not associated with today’s highly purified vaccines.
